Teenage Girls and Fashion
Dresses? Dances? Oh, help my sanity! So I have 2 daughters that are completely opposite. There is a dance coming up at their school. After figuring out they could not wear jeans but had to wear Sunday dress clothes, one daughter opted to not go while my other daughter opted in. She has decided she wants to go shopping for a dress and shoes. So I tell her to look on Amazon and Google and see what she can find that is age appropriate. Off she goes. Y'all, I cannot. When I say age appropriate, I'm thinking that she is 13. She needs to be covered. No cleavage, no skin tight dresses like we are going clubbing, and the dress not ending at her butt. I do not know what others view as age appropriate, but I'm pretty sure that should not be. I seriously have no idea why she thought these would be the kinds of dresses to show me she wants to wear. She has zero clothes in her closet that reflect an 18 year olds party dress for herself. I let all of my children express...
